More journals incorrectly checked in (No.48 checked in as No.49 for example) leading to problems with claiming, binding, and duplicates. Carlos left his shoes out after the third time I’ve asked him not to leave the black shoes on the black mat in the hallway, and I hurt my ankle on them; not serious, but painful. We still have a bathtub of water because of the water turning off earlier in the weak (filled it to have water to flush the toilet). Last time, while we were in bed in the dark, I saw Edgar go into the bathroom. A few quiet seconds passed, and then SPLOOOSH! and a wet cat ran out. He normally jumps in the empty bathtub to roll around, and I guess he didn’t notice with water. He was actually pretty careful to check for a while. Last night, Carlos went in to discover that the bathroom looked like a shaggy dog had gotten in to the bath and shook – there was water everywhere. The only two cats in that room were Maddy and Dart – I suspect Dart, but Maddy finds the water interesting. There were wet cat prints leading all the way out of the bedroom door….

Reforged to 840 hit of 841. We did Grim Batol today, with reasonable success, only one death on my part. Went through two tanks and two healers. Kardexia and I held the top two dps spots. We had one particularly awesome fight where we lost the tank and off tank dps in the first part of the battle and Kardexia and I killed three of the five mobs by ourselves. I was running Gondria, and Spirit Mend was frequently on cool down. I’m almost half way to Exalted with the Ramakhan.

Did Halls of Origination again, definitely my favorite dungeon so far – although I haven’t done any heroics, and have yet to do Grim Batol. I consistently did about 30+% and Kardexia about 25+%, out DPSing a paladin. Good times. Kardexia is a big fan of Spirit Beasts, as Gondria apparently saved Kard’s life with a hit of the Spirit Mend. Woot. I got Sky Piercer and slapped a scope on it. But I forgot to reforge it before I headed to the WPL. Must remember to do that tomorrow.

Finished the Hinterlands today, leaving only the WPL zone left. Finished all the Tol Barad Dailies today (same time as Kardexia, even though I’ve been doing them for weeks). Ran into the Sewer Beast and tried to tame him, but he was bugged and kept evading. It was super disappointing. I tamed Ole Cliff Jumper in the Hinterlands just to make myself feel better. I’ll probably abandon Humar for him. I’d rather get Death Howl though, the arctic wolf in Felwood. Tomorrow I’ll be able to get Sky Piercer.
I ran into my old enemy, the Sewer Beast. Extremely sad, as I had always planned to tame him should ever I see him again. Instead, he was bugged, and evaded both attacks and tames. I tamed Old Cliff Jumper for the hell of it when I ran across him later, but it most certainly wasn’t the same.

Finished Loch Modan, Wetlands, and the Arathi Highlands, leaving only the Hinterlands and WPL zones to finish up. Already capped my guild rep for the week. Doing the Tol Barad dailies, and found that in one day, if you managed to get all three dungeons (9), the three regular dailies (3), the 5 peninsula dailies (5), and pull the Tank daily (2), you can pull together 19 Tol Barad commendations in a day. At the very least, and most probably, if you control Tol Barad at least once, you can snag 12. At very worst, you can get 6 on the peninsula. (Still need: Crossbow (85), Drake of the West Winds (200), Spectral Steed (165), Rustberg Gull (50))
500 commendations = [19/day = 27 days] [12/day = 42 days] [6/day = 84 days]
I broke 7000 achievement points today! 1000 more than the next person in our guild (Kardexia).

Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh.
Architect Interieur comes with the journal Architect. In 2009, it changed its name to Interieur. When, nearing the end of 2010, we still hadn’t gotten a 2010 issue of Interieur, I did some checking. I went to the website, and lo, the page told me that the quarterly publication had returned to the name Architect Interieur. I wrote to ask if we could get this, and Ebsco answered : Interieur has hanged its name (duh, I just told you that.) Its name is now Architects’ Journal. NO. Let us skip the fact that the website speaks of, and has pictures of the covers of Architect Interieur for 2010. THIS PUBLICATION IS DUTCH. It will not change its name to Architects’ Journal. We do already have a title called Architects’ Journal – it is from Britain. Not to mention how I found issues of Architect Interieur from 2010, in the catalog maintenance queue. Physical issues, in hand. And so, ignoring the complete idiocy of Ebsco (who in a separate situation, concerning American Bungalow, failed to send multiple reported claims for more than a year, and it only came to light after we called the publishers ourselves), we processed the title change on Friday. When I went back and checked the records on Tuesday, I saw that an issue, that should have been sent to the Architecture Library uncoded and unbound to be placed in the Reading Room, had been sent to added copies, bound glue on, and coded that very morning. Let us give serials check in the benefit of the doubt, and that they had done the initial searching before Friday and only found the one early record for Architect Interieur. THE RECORD WAS CLOSED. It had a box on the check in record that said TITLE CHANGE. The check in record recorded the information to trace the following title. For reasons that don’t make sense, that record did say to route issues to Added Volumes, but serials check in did not recognize that this was a blindingly obvious, recorded title change, and didn’t bother to check it in. >:(

Oh, thorn in my side. From this day forth, I will no longer ask if you are looking for the German or English version. For you will always tell me English, and it will always be the German. Not once has it been the English. Just because you speak English, and you’d like it to be in English, does not mean that your citation is for the English. The two editions are not even remotely the same. If you don’t know the answer, the answer is “I’m not sure.”
