Gamera’s Riddle
Gamera’s Riddle is the OC pony I made for my husband. My husband loves turtles, and resembles on in temperament: he is wise, patient, quiet, steady, kind, and loved by everyone. Gamera is the enormous turtle monster from the Japanese Godzilla movies, who turns out to be a heroic defender of humanity and friend to children. My husband frequently uses Gamera as an alias. Riddle refers to the mystery of Gamera, his favorite kind of turtle (Kemp’s Ridley), and to Xellos, another online alias. Xellos is a mysterious priest from the Slayers anime series. When asked a question he replies: Sore wa himitsu desu, or in English: That is a secret. My husband’s quiet nature can be sort of mysterious in itself. His cutie mark is a turtle (obviously).

I commissioned the wonderful Sunstice of Deviant art to draw Qyasar and her cutie mark. Sunstice was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her!

Argent Quasar    [Argent Qyasar]
Qyasar is more whimsical, and up-beat. Quasars emit energy, and Qyasar’s energy brings joy to Qyeri, even if it can be exhausting. Quasars are an incredible natural phenomenon; I like the contradiction that even though quasars are formed from black holes that have so much gravity that nothing escapes, quasars emit tremendous amounts of energy.  Her unicorn magic controls gravity. Her glasses are a science joke: because of their black holes they can actually appear as two points of light due to the effect of gravity lensing, and glasses have lenses… Her cutie mark is a quasar.

Catalog Query    [Qyatalog Qyeri]
I love being a cataloger in an academic library.  It requires complete concentration and meticulous attention to detail, like Twilight or Rarity (best pony). Qyeri appreciates order and quiet, and is calm and happy in that environment. Her cutie mark is a catalog card on top of books.

Catalog Query, Argent Quasar and Gamera’s Riddle

Qyeri and Qyasar are my OCs, and  Gamera’s Rddle is the OC I created for my husband. Qyeri and Qyasar are twins and have a relationship like that of Octavia (serious) and Vinyl Scratch (energetic). They are completely different and yet perfectly matched.
